Writing Letters : Formal and Informal 



1- Informal :

Means something you will writte in your 


Family friends or parents ( the people you 

know well ).

2- Formal :

Means something you will writting a request 

to job , Complaint or apply for a grant ( the 

people you don't know very well .


What is the difference between Formal 

vs Informal  :


1- Informla letter  :

- We can use contractions like  ( didn't ; couldn't; 

haven't ; doesn't ...) 

- Idioms " under the weather 

- Phrasal  verbs like ( pick me , go on , find 

out , go up ... )

- Imperatives : ( send it , see u soon ...) .

2- Formal letter  :

- No contractions : ( did not , have not ...)

- No idoms 

- Discover incease

- Imperatives : we should use longer Sentence

( you may or can send it at your  earliest
